A while ago, damn almost a year ago, Scott Kevill of GameRanger asked me to post a bit about their software. GameRanger allows you to play LAN games (500+) across the Internet. As many members of the Homeworld gaming community apparently know, Homeworld works well over this service.

Basically though, it’s pretty easy.
Install Homeworld
Patch Homeworld
Install GameRanger (and create an account)
Log into GameRanger
Host a GameRanger lobby selecting Homeworld as the game (or join a hosted game)
When the host launches, the other players will be able to launch into Homeworld.
When all players are in the game, they need to go into the LAN multiplayer option and pick TCP/IP.

что ж, поскольку на моей новорожденной недоношенной Windows 7 пока что идёт только хв1 (на линуксе сервис, к сожалению, не работает
), а разоровские экзешники обламываются об DEP, решил пройти заново хв1. И знаете - зацепило ) Ну да, вы-то знаете, я уверен ))) Так вот, в свете этого думается мне, что я ни разу ведь не играл по сети в хв1, это как же получается, господа, даже целый хв-клан был, клуб считай, а я даже и по локалке с друзьями не рубился! И вот в свете этих событий стало мне так себя жалко, что решил я немедля ситуацию исправить)
Но, если эта новость для вас не новость уже - прошу прощения за дубль )
